Role Summary:As a Certification Engineer, you will spearhead the development, coordination, and execution of certification activities for Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) systems. Your expertise will be crucial in defining certification plans, interfacing with regulatory authorities, and preparing compliance documentation to support aircraft certification.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Define IMA Certification Activities: Develop and execute certification plans in compliance with DO-297, ED-124, AC20-170, and AMC20-170.
- Compliance Checklists: Create and manage compliance checklists to support development activities.
- Regulatory Interface: Collaborate with FAA, EASA, and other regulatory authorities to obtain agreement on certification approaches.
- Documentation: Prepare and review compliance documentation, addressing deviations from the IMA Certification Plan.
- Support Development Team: Provide guidance on Means of Compliance (MoC) and compliance reports in line with regulatory requirements.
- Issue Resolution: Review and respond to FAA Issue Papers (IPs), EASA Certification Review Items (CRIs), and Certification Action Items (CAIs).
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in avionics systems certification, ideally with IMA platforms.
- Strong understanding of FAA and EASA regulations.
- Proven ability to interface with regulatory authorities and manage certification processes.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with TSO-C153 and TSO-C153A for IMA modules.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay Details: $150.00 per hour
