This internship will start in May of 2026!
As a Test Engineering Intern, you will work with the Honeywell Control Systems-Electronic Controller-Product Test (CS-CCOE-Test) organization located in Mississauga, Ontario.
Here we design test solutions to develop and qualify proprietary Honeywell Aerospace Products used by many aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier, Gulfstream, etc.
This Internship will provide an opportunity to learn and understand product and test setup integration processes, learn aircraft communication protocols such as A429, and CAN Bus while working on development and qualification of electronic controllers putting your C language, Microsoft excel skills, electronic circuit and data analysis into practice.
With guidance from Sr Advanced System Engineers, the successful candidate will integrate electronic controllers with the test solution and make the product ready to go through development and qualification tests.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting setup, installation and execution of various test programs per test plans and procedures
- Using basic knowledge of engineering fundamental tools and lab equipment to complete defined project subtasks
- Creating verbal & written test reports to handoff results to the responsible Engineer.
- Reviewing test plans and/or instruction to determine support hardware requirements and identify potential problems prior to test.
- Providing technical support to the project and test engineering teams
- May interact with internal customers and team members to facilitate the completion of projects to customer specifications
- Committing to test schedules and providing excellent quality of work to meet projected costs through effective communication and cooperation
- Demonstrate initiative and execution to drive test process continuous improvements.
Qualifications
The hourly rate for this position is $30/hour in Mississauga, Ontario. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. You Must Have:- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP security clearance.
