What You Will Do:
The Manager, Quality Assurance will be responsible for providing leadership to one or multiple business units over multiple inspection sites.
Drive effective root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure the implementation of corrective and preventive actions using CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) problem-solving methodologies; apply CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity
Maintain and enhance Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, including work instructions, quality plans, and inspection procedures
Support internal and external audits, as well as customer inspections, ensuring organizational readiness and timely closure of any findings
Guide teams through change, fostering collaboration, and driving performance excellence in the processing of aerospace components
Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner; execute business decisions fairly, conduct annual performance reviews, hold regular toolbox meetings, provide two-way communications, consistent application of policy/work rules, clear, consistent communication of organizational goals and objectives
Understand and report daily production; allocate inspectors according to business dynamic needs
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors degree and 8 or more years experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related industrial environment OR a Masters Degree and minimum 5 or more years experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related industrial environment
In absence of a degree, 12 or more years of directly related experience in engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or closely related industrial environment with a track record of leading quality initiatives on the shop floor.
Knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN
Knowledge and effective practice of Environmental, Health and Safety requirements
Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Experience in a team leadership/supervisory capacity

Qualifications We Prefer:
STEM degree
Experience using CORE tools
Proficiency with SAP and Solumina
Working knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards and regulatory compliance, including the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Analytical and statistical skills, with expertise in interpreting complex data to drive informed, risk-based decisions

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
