Position Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and technically curious Software Engineer Intern to join the PdL Shared Software (SSW) team. In this role, the intern will contribute to building scalable, high‑quality software solutions that support foundational platform capabilities across PdL. Working alongside experienced engineers, the intern will help design, develop, and troubleshoot code, participate in agile ceremonies, and gain hands‑on experience with modern development practices. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn, collaborate in a fast‑moving environment, and make meaningful contributions to products used across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of software components, internal tools, and shared services used across PdL.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and technical debt.
  • Contribute to documentation, onboarding guides, and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to understand requirements and deliver features that support multiple product teams.
  • Explore opportunities to improve developer workflows, automation, and system performance.
Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.• Foundational knowledge of one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C, JavaScript).• Understanding of basic data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented programming concepts.• Ability to work collaboratively, ask thoughtful questions, and proactively seek feedback.• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a willingness to learn.

Preferred:

  • Prior internship or project experience working on real‑world software applications.
  • Secret Clearance

The estimated hourly rate range for this role is $20/hr to $30/hr. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
