Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated intern for a nine-month position with strong hands-on electronics skills, foundational optics knowledge, and experience in data and post-processing to support the design, assembly, and testing of experimental prototypes. In this role, you will set up and align basic optical benches (including lenses, mirrors, filters, and fibers), operate photodetectors, cameras, and spectrometers, and assemble and troubleshoot analog and digital circuits using standard laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and function generators for rapid prototyping. You will also organize and analyze experimental data using tools such as Python, MATLAB, or Excel, generate clear plots and concise reports, and maintain accurate lab documentation.
The ideal candidate should be a PhD candidate and still pursuing the degree and has a background in electronics, electrical engineering, physics, optics, or a related discipline. They are curious, detail-oriented, enjoy hands-on laboratory work, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
