STS Line Maintenance is hiring A&P Mechanics in Boston, Massachusetts to support our expanding line maintenance station. In this role, you will perform high-quality, safety-focused maintenance on a variety of commercial and regional aircraft while ensuring exceptional service for our airline customers. We’re seeking motivated professionals ready to make an impact and help us grow operations at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).
Pay Rate: $33–$44 per hour, depending on experience
Benefits: PTO, health insurance, and 401K available for full-time employees (no benefits for part-time)
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- This position reports to the Line Maintenance Station Manager and Station Leads
- Work closely with airline partners, flight crews, and Aircraft Maintenance Controllers
- Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with FAA regulations, ADs, and company policies
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment
- Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity at all times
- Replace defective components based on test results and technical documentation
- Use precision instruments to measure part wear and perform necessary replacements
- Perform work outdoors and in inclement weather as needed
- Work on a variety of aircraft, including 737, 757, 767, 777, A320, A330, CRJ 700/900, ERJ 135/145, and E170/E190
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
- Must hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License with no infractions
- Recent experience on turbine-powered aircraft preferred
- Experience on commercial or large regional aircraft is desired but not required
- We will train candidates with an A&P License and willingness to learn
- Own a standard set of line maintenance tools (calibrated and specialty tools provided)
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, able to perform duties with minimal supervision
- Able to work standing, climb ladders, lift 50 lbs unassisted, with or without accommodations
- Must pass background check and drug/alcohol screening
- Able to obtain U.S. Customs and Border Patrol clearance
- Basic to mid-level computer and organizational skills required
- Experience under FAA Part 145 or Part 135 highly desired
- Inspection Authorization (IA) License is a plus
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and determine appropriate repair methods
- Capable of troubleshooting and repairing airframe and engine systems including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic
- Must be flexible with schedule—nights, weekends, and holidays may be required
- Exceptional customer service, communication, and work ethic
