The role of an AW609 Mechanical Technician involves supporting flight test operations by assisting in the reconfiguration of aircraft for certification and experimental testing. The Technician will conduct functional test procedures to ensure mechanical systems are working within design specifications and troubleshoot any non-conformities or defects. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the experimental operations team in performing inspections on the aircraft as instructed through Engineering Technical Instructions.
• Participate in preparing the experimental aircraft for flight by conducting daily inspections, completing maintenance, towing, launching, and recovering aircraft into the hangar using SOP.
• Engage in Functional Test Procedures to test systems on the ground prior to flight to ensure system functionality and flight safety.
• Execute first-of-type and prototype installations and software updates with engineering input and work instructions.
• Follow job cards to remove and install LRUs and components as needed.
• Collaborate to achieve a high-performing team focused on maintaining a motivated workforce dedicated to aviation excellence.

• Skilled in Mechanical & Structural Operations
• Ability to perform aircraft maintenance and inspections
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical systems
• A&P License (Preferred)

• Experience working on Tilt-Rotor aircraft (Preferred)
• Experience with experimental or development aircraft (Preferred)
• Willingness to work any shift (Days/Swing/Nights)
• Ability to travel for off-site aircraft testing

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $70720.00/yr.
