This role requires the expertise of Structures Technicians to perform structural modifications, installations, and sheet metal fabrication for the Prototype OA-1K Skyraider II aircraft. This modified version of the Air Tractor AT-802 involves working on fuselages, antennas, cockpit systems, flight controls, wings, and other structural airframe components made from sheet metal and composite materials. Technicians will be responsible for rigging parts, drilling into sheet metal and composite parts, as well as trimming and shimming parts as needed. The job involves working off schematics and work instructions, and technicians will need to look up part numbers for specific installs.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural modifications and installations on the OA-1K Skyraider II aircraft.
• Conduct sheet metal fabrication for aircraft components.
• Work on fuselages, antennas, cockpit systems, flight controls, wings, and other airframe components.
• Rig parts and drill into sheet metal and composite materials.
• Trim and shim parts as required.
• Follow schematics and work instructions.
• Look up part numbers for installations.

• 4+ years of experience as a Structures / Sheet Metal Technician.
• Expertise in aircraft modification and sheet metal mechanics.
• Ability to drill, countersink, and rivet sheet metal and composite parts.
• Proficiency in shimming and fastener installation and removal.
• Capability to work off schematics and look up part numbers.

• Experience with aircraft modifications and sheet metal mechanics.
• Military background with Depot Level Experience or extensive troubleshooting experience.
• Experience in MRO / Modifications is beneficial.

Work schedule includes Monday through Saturday, with 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday and 8-hour shifts on Friday and Saturday. The role involves installing ISR packages on the OA-1K Skyraider II, a light attack/armed reconnaissance aircraft designed for ISR and precision strike missions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
