Test Technician - Vista, CA Job DescriptionAs a Test Technician, you will be responsible for testing and configuring various components and systems of security and detection equipment for Ports and Borders throughout the US. This role involves working at the Vista, CA location, where sophisticated scanning equipment is produced. You will execute the installation of software and firmware, test system functionality, and perform troubleshooting throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities- Execute and lead manufacturing system testing
- Participate and contribute to Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
- Conduct software and firmware installation and updates
- Install operating systems on PCs
- Load system images and perform hard drive cloning
- Interface with component GUIs to configure components
- Troubleshoot PCs and their peripherals
- Program PLCs
- Assemble computer racks, cabling, and small assemblies
- Provide manufacturing-level feedback to engineering on test plans and procedures
- Assist with the development of work instructions
- Complete all required manufacturing-related documentation
- Adhere to company regulatory and compliance policies

Additional Skills & Qualifications- High school education or equivalent and 3+ years of business-related experience.

- 3+ years experience in manufacturing or R&D.
- Above average experience utilizing MS applications.

Job Type & Location- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.50 - $26.50/hr.
