Primary Objective of the Position:
Lead purchasing and inventory sales operations by designing and implementing effective procurement processes that ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement in support of airline maintenance activities.

Essential Position Functions:

  • Supervise and coordinate the Technical Buyers team, ensuring all material requests, purchasing, and inventory sales are managed efficiently and in compliance with Canadian, FAA, and EASA regulations.
  • Design, implement, and refine procurement and inventory control processes, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Oversee the procurement cycle, ensuring all purchasing decisions are supported by competitive quotes and that all purchase, repair, and work orders are properly approved in accordance with ERP workflows and company policies.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records for all purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and inventory sales.
  • Collaborate with MRO, Engine Shops, and Finance to maintain optimal supply of parts and materials, avoid over-ordering, and support maintenance schedules.
  • Review and maintain inventory sales lists; support AOG shipments and urgent material needs.
  • Recommend new vendors and assist with vendor approvals in line with company standards.
  • Train and mentor team members, review shift schedules, and support employee development.
  • Ensure all documentation, systems, and work areas meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and lead process improvements to drive operational excellence and cost savings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required, post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
  • SCMP/PMAC certification is an asset.
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA is preferred.
  • Engineering knowledge is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in aviation materials management, including 3 years in a purchasing management role.
  • Strong experience in process design and implementation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian, FAA, and EASA regulations for aeronautical products.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
