The Honeywell - EDS Missile Systems line of business is recruiting a Director Strategic Account Management to develop and capture International and direct United States Government Business. This is a key business growth role reporting directly to the Missile Systems Sr. DIR of Advanced Technology and Growth. This full-time position is based in the Washington DC area with work from home opportunity and an expectation of 60 travel. The Director will maintain the highest standards of business and technical acumen, performance excellence and integrity. Job duties also include active engagement to develop the site’s overall short-term and long-term strategic growth goals and business plan for both International and USG business.
The ideal candidate possesses a multi-disciplinary engineering and programmatic business background in aerospace and defense. This individual will have experience in managing Research and Development (R&D) programs that drive new business. This individual will have demonstrated ability to work across functions in a matrix organization to achieve positive business results. The ideal candidate will also have proven customer facing and people leadership skills in the international military and defense spanet.
The Director is an important growth agent for the division. The successful candidate will have an existing positive relationship with international industry primes and various USG agencies and an understanding of their business goals.
Responsibilities include the identification of new business opportunities, spanet research, development of capture strategies and leading the preparation of proposals to customers. Accountable for orders generation, forecasts, development and execution of capture strategy for assigned spanet area. Ability to establish and build relationships, obtain insights from customer contacts and understand customer requirements. Target pursuits where existing company solutions add value and new pursuits where IR&D and overarching CAES design capabilities can be applied. Partner with Engineering to ensure that technology roadmaps are in line with emerging customer needs, requirements and investments. Coordinate activities to obtain spanet area intelligence and competitive data for targeted pursuits. Champion customers, innovation and investment that will drive new business.

The ideal candidate will have Missiles and EW system experience and has established relationships with potential international partners and USG Agencies.
Qualifications
The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.
YOU MUST HAVE
- BS or MS in Engineering or Business-related field 15 years’ experience in leading multi-discipline engineering development teams in one of the Tier -1 Aerospace and Defense Prime or with the US DoW.
- Experience with missile system design and/or electronics design & manufacture, relevant spanet/customer acumen, and strong product and technology expertise
- Experience working with International Defense Contractors
- Experience working with US government agencies.
- Experience in driving business processes, practices, and measures of performance and proven track record with continuous improvement achievements
- Business and technical acumen, including a track record of enabling business success through engineering performance results, including responsibility for budgets, schedules, cost estimates, resource planning, and proposals
- 8+ years of demonstrated ability to lead progressive changes with strong change agent, mentoring and personnel development skills
- Experience interfacing directly with customers on complex program challenges
- Active DoD/Top Secret clearance

What We Offer
Pay Range:
The annual base salary range for this position is $204,000 - $255,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidates work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as spanet and business considerations.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base bay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
