Under the direct supervision of the Director of Quality the Training Manager will identify and monitor training needs in the organization, and design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs. The training manager will understand the business operation and decision-making processes with a keen interest in producing targeted and tangible results by creating an effective and efficient workforce. Will be responsible for conducting audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
• Reviews existing training programs and suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry.
• Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
• Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions.
• Creates an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations.
• Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
• Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
• Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
• Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.
• Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget.
• Prepares and implements training budget.
• Prepare reports on training outcomes and audit results for management review.
• Conduct audits of maintenance practices and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Prepare training modules for OJT.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify training needs and ensure alignment with company objectives.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Provides support to the Maintenance Director team as assigned.
• Fields monthly and quarterly inventory reports.
• High School Diploma. Relevant work experience may substitute for required education.
• Experience maintaining database systems including both electronic and hardcopy filing systems.
• Knowledge of standard office policies & procedures.
• Knowledge & ability to operate office equipment including e-mail, fax, copy machines.
• Teamwork and communication skills to ensure coordination of maintenance actions within organization.
• 3 years of experience in data entry, clerical or related experience.
• Airline industry or operational experience preferred.
• Strong ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
• Strong work ethic, reliable, and self-motivated with a positive attitude
• Proficient in: Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook and general internet applications.
• Minimal physical exertion such as: pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, and light lifting of boxes, bags, files, and electronic equipment not in excess of 30 lbs.
