WHAT WERE DOING:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Lab Operations Specialist to oversee the day-to-day operations of our laboratory facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained laboratory environment, managing site readiness and equipment status, coordinating lab access and training, and supporting property management and lab space planning initiatives.

THE WORK:

1. Day-to-Day Lab Operations include:
• Conduct regular walkthroughs to ensure adherence to Food & Drink Policy and identify prohibited items (phones, personal electronic devices)
• Notify management of policy violations and remind personnel of policies as necessary
• Identify and address safety concerns, such as cables over the deck, loose deck plates, and holes
• Engage with lab teams to resolve safety issues and improve overall lab cleanliness
• Document opportunities for improvement and engage Facilities/ABM as needed
2. Lab Maintenance and Facilities Concerns:
• Address facility issues (heating, cooling, electrical, water leaks, etc.) using the LM Buildings ticket system
• Support planned maintenance activities that require lab and/or RADHAZ area access
3. Site Readiness and Equipment Status:
• Manage the status of all equipment in the lab, including understanding why equipment is inoperable and what is required to restore it to working order
4. Lab Access and Training:
• Track training for all lab users, including GFE Awareness, General RF Safety, and SSRIS Radar Ops
• Ensure access to SSRIS is based on completion of key training
5. Property Management:
• Support annual GFE inventory and act as custodian for designated equipment
• Work with Property Management team to tag new equipment and dispose of outgoing equipment
• Ensure GFE is used appropriately, including co-use between contracts and mix of capital/contract equipment
6. Lab Space Planning:
• Collaborate with Facilities, I&T, Engineering, and eTech Lab Management to maintain a plan for space utilization in the lab
• Assist with storage management, including CONEX box and other storage solutions
7. Backup Support:
• Provide backup support to Launcher and MSIC Lab Managers as needed

WHO YOU ARE:
We are seeking individuals with:
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and ability to identify and address safety concerns
• Familiarity with laboratory operations and safety protocols
• Ability to engage with lab teams and management to resolve issues and improve lab operations
• 4-5 Years experience in Site, Lab or Solid State Radar

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience working in a development environment
• Knowledge of property management and inventory control principles
•Familiarity with LM Buildings ticket system and facility management protocols
• Information Technology, Hardware Engineering, Technical or similar professional background
• Experience working on a Hardware/Software Engineering and/or Hardware Support Team
• Experience with Project Management
• Experience with MS Office and Visio
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional/technical experience, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Understanding of GFE Management, and Moorestown Lab processes.
• Familiar with the use of Electronic Test Equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Network Cable Testers, DMM’s and RF Network Analyzers.
• Familiar with creating labor plans and CBOM inputs for lab activation and equipment build-up efforts.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
